Cañada de la Virgen Archaeological Site Tour
We'll meet at Zacateros Street at the agreed time and head west towards the Cañada de la Virgen Archaeological Zone. After a 45 minute drive, we'll arrive at this site to see what was an important Toltec-Chichimec fortress centuries ago.
We'll visit this archaeological site, located on a small plateau surrounded by canyons, which will show you its strategic importance in the past. We'll see the three complexes of which it's composed: the House of the Thirteen Heavens, the House of the Longest Night and the House of the Wind.
Accompanied by an expert guide in archaeology, we'll visit the astronomical observatory, the clock, the necropolis and the esplanades used by the Toltecs.
Once we have toured the archaeological site, we'll enjoy a typical ranchera lunch to satisfy our appetite. We'll return to San Miguel de Allende to finish our excursion.
