Highlights
At the scheduled time, the group will convene on Calle Relox, and be brought up by minibus to the Sanctuary of Atonilco. It'll take approximately 20 minutes to reach the World Heritage Site.
Once you've arrived at your destination, you'll immediately be drawn to the beauty of the temple, as you come to understand its history. You'll be brought back to the 18th century to discover its origins and links to the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and Mexican Independence.
Of course, you'll also have the opportunity to see what lies within the sanctuary, such as the frescos in the popular Mexican baroque style. Did you know that this temple is nicknamed the American Sistine Chapel?
Once the guided tour has ended you'll make your way into the centre of Atotonilco town to satisfy your tastebuds with some Mexican gorditas or quesadillas, and a drink. Delicious!
With renewed energy, you'll head by minibus to a vineyard to discover the secrets of the wine produced in Guanajuato. As well as the tour of the factory, you'll enjoy a wine tasting that includes 3 distinct varieties.
After the 4-hour trip, you'll be dropped off right back where you started.
Important
