Follow the flight of the peregrine falcon on our Rupe Trail Hike on Mount Titano. You'll walk through a beautiful and untamed part of San Marino while trying to spot this majestic bird flying overhead.

Rupe Trail Hike

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Piazzale Campo della Fiera, in Borgo Maggiore. We'll then set off on an unforgettable experience in a beautiful natural area in San Marino.

During our hike, we'll walk along the winding path of the Rupe. This trail is an alternative passage to the classic route leading from the main entrance of the city to the Third Tower, or "Il Montale". It also passes through the Second Tower, which is known as "Cesta" or "Fratta". The oldest republic in the world, still independent, will open its doors to you, showing you its most unusual and unique side.

This route winds its way along the slopes of Mount Titano through leafy trees and lush greenery such as the rare and ancient ephedra nebrodense. You'll also see imposing rock faces, which create a unique ambience in the forest and fairytale views. Some sections will require a little more effort, but we promise it'll be worth it at the end!

The UNESCO-protected nature area boasts some perfect climbing spots, such as beautiful green terraces overlooking the Adriatic Sea. You'll also see the secluded and sacred Tanaccia Sanctuary and an archaeological site of inestimable historic and cultural value. In addition, this area is one of the peregrine falcon's habitats, as this bird has spent centuries nesting in this peaceful place. Accompanied by our knowledgeable guide, we'll also discover lots of fascinating facts about this place.
