San Marino Private Electric Bike Tours
Description
When booking, you'll be able to choose from three different private San Marino eBike tours, depending on your preference. For all options, we'll meet at the selected time at number 18 Piazzale Campo della Fiera in Borgo Maggiore, San Marino.
San Marino Parks Tour (2 hours)
In this route, we'll set off by electric bike to the verdant parks surrounding San Marino, following a route of about 12.4 miles (20 kilometers) with a low to medium level of difficulty. During the ride, we'll pedal across different types of terrain (not always compact) that will take us through Parco Laiala, the arboretum of Cà Vagnetto and the town of Domagnano, entering the pine forest of the same name. Then, we'll push on to the badlands of Piandavello, where we'll bike across a fun dirt track, before resuming the paved road to the castle and tower of Valgiurata on our way back to Borgo Maggiore.
Climbs & Descents Tour (3 hours)
Choosing this option, we'll embark on a route of about 15.5 miles (25 kilometers), slightly longer than the previous option but of the same difficulty. Characterized by a continuous alternation of climbs and descents, the route will run on a bike path, asphalt and dirt terrain, giving us an adventure where history and nature combine to perfection. Riding our electric bikes, we'll explore the badlands of Torraccia and the parks of Montecchio and Marano. We'll also see some historic fortresses like the castles of Borgo Maggiore, Fiorentino, Montegiardino and Faetano, where we'll climb the so-called Salita del Canile, the most challenging part of the trail.
San Leo Tour (5 hours)
In this option, we'll take on a cycling trail of medium difficulty which, although only 16.8 miles (27 kilometers) long, will be exciting for even the most avid bikers. From Borgo Maggiore, we'll leave for Gualdicciolo, a small hamlet located on the border of the Republic of San Marino that we'll cross to enter Emilia-Romagna and reach the Fortress of San Leo, overlooking one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Upon reaching this castle perched on a rocky cliff in the Valmarecchia valley, we'll look out from its three panoramic balconies and be captivated by the sight of the landscapes that inspired Early Renaissance painter Piero della Francesca. After admiring the stunning surrounding landscape and getting our fill of photos, we'll return to the starting point.
