Quebrada de los Cóndores Climbing Activity
Quebrada de los Cóndores Climbing Activity
Between 8 and 8:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in San Luis and head to the Potrero de los Funes Dam to admire the scenery.
Next, we'll stop at the Los Cóndores viewpoint to look out at incredible views of the ravine of the same name. After a safety briefing, we'll get our helmets, harnesses and other climbing equipment on and start working our way up the different rock walls.
The duration of our climbing activity in the Quebrada de los Cóndores will depend on the pace and characteristics of our group. During the activity, we'll climb different parts of this canyon, which towers at 1,150 feet (350 metres) high and is an iconic part of the San Luis province.
As we climb, we'll see the majestic condors to which the gorge owes its name flying overhead. The condolera, the place where the animals make their nest, moved here due to the urban development that took place in the city of San Luis. Birdwatchers will love this canyon, as it also serves as a habitat for birds such as hawks and black- and red-headed vultures.
After our unforgettable climbing activity, we'll get our energy back with a picnic lunch in the surrounding area. Once we've had something to eat, we'll return to your hotel in San Luis and drop you off at 6:30 pm.
