Tamul Waterfall & Cueva del Agua Excursion
Tamul Waterfall & Cueva del Agua Excursion
After picking you up at your hotel in San Luis Potosí at 6:45 am, we'll travel by minibus to Tanchachín, a small town about four hours away.
Once we arrive, we'll make our way to the Tampaón River. There we'll board a boat for a pleasant ride to the Tamul waterfall, admiring the beauty of the surrounding vegetation and relaxing to the songs of the birds that fly over the area along the way.
We'll marvel at the majesty of these waterfalls of Potosí from the base, the perfect spot for stunning photos of this cascade that exceeds 100 meters (328 feet) in height. While we're here, we'll explain how this place was formed and talk about the legends associated with this natural monument. Did you know that Tamul means 'place of pitchers' in the Teenek language? We'll tell you all about it during the tour!
The boat ride will take us to the entrance of a famous cave called Cueva del Agua. You'll have an hour of free time to take a well-deserved dip in this rocky cave with 45 meters (147 feet) of depth. Its waters, which boast intense hues of sapphire blue, will captivate you from beginning to end.
We'll then take you back to dry land and leave you another hour free for lunch at a restaurant in Tanchachín before returning to San Luis Potosí. Finally, the excursion will finish at 8 pm, leaving you back at your hotel.
