Huasteca Potosina 4 Day Tour

Day 1: San Luis Potosí - Xilitla

When you land at San Luis Potosi International Airport, we'll be waiting for you in the arrivals hall. We'll hit the road for a 5-hour drive to get to the hotel where we'll spend the night.

Day 2: Xilitla - Ciudad Valle

Good morning! We'll have a delicious breakfast at the hotel in Xilitla and then drive to the Sculpture Garden of Edward James. This spectacular space has over 30 sculptures that exhibit Gothic and Egyptian influences. As you explore the staircases leading nowhere, castles, houses and columns, we'll tell you all about this place.

Next, we'll head to the centre of Xilitla. We'll visit the Leonora Carrington Sculpture Museum, which is dedicated to one of Mexico's most important artists. She was also a prominent figure in surrealist art. We'll discuss the sculptures, jewellery, engravings and personal objects exhibited in the museum.

You'll then have the afternoon free to stroll around Xilitla and have lunch in one of the local restaurants. After our lunch break, we'll drive to Ciudad Valles to check in at the hotel. Goodnight!

Day 3: Ciudad Valles- Tamasopo - San Luis Potosí

Once we've had breakfast at the hotel in Ciudad Valles, we'll go to the Bridge of God. When we get there, we'll find a cave full of stalactites and stalagmites and a turquoise water eye where we'll relax.

The tour will then take us to the Tamasopo Waterfalls, which are surrounded by dense greenery. While we admire the views, we'll hear the soothing sound of the water tumbling down the rocks from a height of 65 feet (20 metres). Afterwards, you'll have some free time to eat lunch at your leisure.

We'll then head back to our accommodation in San Luis Potosí.

Day 4: San Luis Potosí

On our final day, we'll have breakfast at the hotel in San Luis Potosí and then go on a guided tour of the Leonora Carrington Museum. This fascinating museum is located in the Centro de Artes, which is a former 19th-century penitentiary.

From 1 pm, we'll take you back to the airport so you can catch your return flight home. Bon voyage!
