Cueva del Indio & Poza del Obispo Day Trip
Day Trip Details
After meeting up at the indicated time at El Último Trolley Beach, we'll leave San Juan behind and embark on a pleasant 1-hour road trip to Arrecibo, in the north of Puerto Rico.
Upon arrival in this area, we'll head straight to the Cueva del Indio, a cave considered a geological treasure thanks to its petroglyphs carved into the rock by the Taino people. We'll explore its walls and millenary inscriptions that narrate the life of this pre-Columbian civilisation.
Afterwards, we'll head to the 7 Arches, rock formations sculpted by the erosion of the sea that offer spectacular views of the Atlantic.
The adventure will continue at Poza del Obispo, a charming beach that is very popular on the island for its natural pools. There, you'll have 1.5 hours of free time to enjoy the crystal clear waters and sunbathe—if you have snorkelling goggles, don't forget to bring them!
Later, we'll make a stop in the town of Arrecibo so you can have lunch on your own. You'll find a great food options to delight your palate, from the traditional mofongo to empanadillas.
Finally, we'll return to San Juan, where we'll say goodbye at the initial meeting point after a 6-hour day trip.
