Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Plaza Dársenas Square to begin this walking tour around San Juan Old Town. Ready to travel through the history of Puerto Rico's capital? Let's go!
We'll explore the streets of Viejo San Juan, visiting many iconic spots such as the cathedral of San Juan Bautista, one of the oldest in all of Latin America. We'll continue exploring the city's old town until we stop off at the Governor's Mansion.
Nearby, we'll find the Puerta de San Juan and Plaza de Armas Square, where we'll marvel at the imposing façade of the City Hall. After discovering some of the most iconic spots in the city's old town, we'll make our way to the San Felipe del Morro Castle.
We'll head inside the ancient fortress, which is a perfect example of the militaristic architectural style from the colonial age. There, we'll recount the castle's history and the battles that have taken place here, such as the defences against British, Dutch and pirate invaders.
After 2.5 hours, we'll bring this tour to an end. We'll say our goodbyes at the entrance to the El Morro Castle.
