Kayaking in the Punta Negra Dam
Kayaking in the Punta Negra Dam
From your hotel in San Juan, where we'll pick you up at the selected time, we'll go to the pier of the reservoir Punta Negra.
Once we arrive at the pier, you'll have to tell the instructor if you want to rent the kayak and paddle to navigate on your own or if you want to take a kayak tour around the reservoir. Both activities will last one hour.
If you decide to rent a kayak, you'll paddle at your own pace through one of the main reservoirs in the Argentinean province of San Juan. You'll admire the turbines of the reservoir's dam and the mountains of the foothills of the Andes from the kayak while paddling.
Those who choose the kayak tour on the reservoir will also learn some interesting facts about this place. Since it was inaugurated in 2015 by the then president of Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, the Punta Negra Dam has become one of the most popular recreational reservoirs in the province.
You'll have to give all the equipment back at the dock of the reservoir and, from there, we'll return to your hotel in San Juan.
About the kayaks
At the pier of the reservoir, you'll be able to choose between an individual or a double kayak. Please note that the prices indicated are per person, not per boat.
