Ischigualasto Provincial Park Trip
Ischigualasto Provincial Park Trip
After picking you up from your hotel in San Juan at the designated time, we'll drive along the legendary National Route 150 to the Ischigualasto Provincial Park. This beautiful natural space of Argentina is also known as the Valley of the Moon due to its surreal landscapes.
Once we arrive at the park, we'll set off on a gentle four-hour trek through Ischigualasto. The route will take us past some of the principal rock formations in the area, among which the submarine, the worm, and the mushroom stand out. You'll hear how the action of erosion over time has naturally carved these rocks into curious shapes. These are landscapes you'll never forget!
In the Ischigualasto Provincial Park, which has been declared a World Heritage Site, we'll also visit the so-called Bowling Court. This large field, full of huge stone balls, also resembles the surface of the moon. We complete the tour by visiting the Valle Pintado viewpoint, another of the park's natural jewels.
The hiking route ends at the Ischigualasto Interpretation Center, where you'll have two hours free to visit it and have lunch (not included) - a perfect opportunity to taste the delicious gastronomy of this part of Argentina!
After lunch, we'll return to your hotel in San Juan, where we arrive after a total of 12 hours.
