On this 2 or 3-day tour of Tortuguero National Park, you'll explore the wild nature of Costa Rica and sleep in an exclusive jungle lodge.
Description
Day 1
At the appointed time we'll pick you up from your hotel and begin a 2-day tour of Tortuguero National Park, one of the most spectacular places to visit in Costa Rica.
The first stop will be in Guápiles, where we'll have breakfast to re-energise. With our batteries recharged, we'll head to the La Pavona dock, where we'll board a boat to take us along the Suerte River.
As we sail, we'll enjoy the fascinating views of the nature characteristic of the Costa Rican riverside. We'll reach the Tortuguero River and arrive at the lodge where we'll spend the night in the middle of the Costa Rican jungle at around 12:00 noon!
After settling into your rooms, we'll meet at the restaurant for a full lunch. In the afternoon, we'll visit the village of Tortuguero to get to know the essence and the original appearance of a Costa Rican jungle village. There we'll see the close relationship between the inhabitants and the turtles.
Finally, we'll head back to the lodge where we'll have time to relax and have dinner.
Day 2
Early in the morning, we'll head to Tortuguero National Park to discover its natural attractions. From the beach where the turtles nest to the numerous species of flora and fauna, we'll see the largest wetland in the country!
After getting to see the park, we'll return to the hotel to have a full breakfast. Once we've recharged our batteries, we'll leave the lodge and head back to the La Pavona dock.
Finally, we'll drop you back to your hotel in the middle of the day.
3-day tour
If you want to spend one more night in the lodge in Tortuguero, you should book the 3-day tour. In this case, after breakfast on the second day, we'll visit the Tortuguero National Park again.
We'll have lunch at the lodge and go hiking through the trails, gardens and beaches of the area. We'll spend the whole day in contact with nature!
On the third day, after breakfast, we'll take you back to your hotel and end the tour of Tortuguero National Park.
Accommodation
This tour includes 1 or 2 nights of full board accommodation in Laguna Lodge, in Tortuguero. If the reservation is for an odd number of people, a supplement will be charged for the single room.
Pickup
This tour has departures from San José and from Guápiles:
- If you select the option from San José, you'll be collected from your hotel between 5:30 and 6:45 am.
- If you select the option from Guápiles, pickup will be from Restaurante Senderos Río Blanco at 10:30 am.
