San José Private Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll pick you up at your hotel in San José to embark on a private tour of the capital of Costa Rica.
Our first stop will be at the National Museum of Costa Rica, boasting one of the most outstanding collections in Central America. Making our way through its permanent exhibition, we'll see a wide range of pieces belonging to pre-Columbian and colonial times, which will help us to better understand the culture and history of this nation.
Continuing on our private tour of San José, we'll head to the old control tower of La Sabana Airport. In 1977, these airfield facilities became home to the Museum of Costa Rican Art. Inside, we'll get to see the works of outstanding local artists, such as the famous sculptor, painter, musician and artist Juan Manuel Sánchez Barrantes.
Then, your guide will take you to visit the beautiful entrance of the National Theater of Costa Rica and the Central Market, respective cultural and culinary emblems of San José. Next, you'll stop at the National Monument of Costa Rica to learn about the history of the Costa Ricans who fought against invading troops sent by the American William Walker in the mid-19th century.
Lastly, we'll admire the stunning façade of the famous Edificio Metálico and visit the Municipal Arts & Crafts Market. After six hours of sightseeing, we'll conclude the private tour by returning to your hotel.
