Food Tour of San José

We'll meet at the scheduled time in front of the Casa de Cacao in the Escalante neighbourhood in the east of San José. This district has become a gastronomic and cultural paradise.

This is the starting point of this tour, in which we'll visit the Escalante neighbourhood, the Amón and Otoya neighbourhoods, to taste the most delicious dishes and let yourself be overcome with the traditional Costa Rican flavours. We'll make three stops, where we'll enjoy the good food of the city.

First, we'll walk through the streets of the Escalante neighbourhood, enjoying its Art Nouveau architecture, and we'll start this gastronomic tour of San José by visiting a coffee shop where we'll taste delicious Costa Rican chocolate.

Next, we'll then head to a cosy typical food restaurant, where we'll taste delicacies cooked in the traditional method, in a wood-fired oven. Our next stop will be a contemporary restaurant, where you'll have the opportunity to savour a Costa Rican dish with a modern twist.

Finally, we'll enter the lively Paseo Gastronómico La Luz -  home to the city's highest concentration of restaurants. Time for a sweet treat! Here we'll have a  delicious liqueur ice cream. Finally, we'll end our gastronomic tour of San José 3 to 4 hours after the start of the tour.
