Costa Rica 13-Day Tour
Day 1: San José
After picking you up from the arrivals terminal of Juan Santamaría International Airport, we'll take you to your hotel in San José. We have 13 exciting days ahead of us to explore the best of Costa Rica - rest well!
Day 2: San José - Tortuguero
Early in the morning, we'll leave San José to travel through Braulio Carrillo National Park, stopping for a delicious breakfast at a local restaurant midway through the journey. Eventually, we'll reach Tortuguero National Park, where we'll board a boat to cruise through the rivers and canals of the park while enjoying breathtaking views of the landscape.
Once we arrive at the lodge, we'll take a break for lunch. Bon appetit! After this delicious meal, we'll get back on the boat and make our way to Tortuguero. There, we'll explore the streets of this town and discover the local customs. We'll even get to see the community of turtles that live in the area!
Later, we'll return to the hotel to enjoy dinner and rest up for the next day.
Day 3: Tortuguero National Park
On the third day, you can sleep in. You'll have the morning free at the hotel to relax by the pool and have lunch. In the afternoon, we'll go on an excursion to Tortuguero National Park, home to dense vegetation and more than 350 species of protected animals!
We'll return to our accommodation for dinner and rest.
Day 4: Tortuguero - Arenal
First thing in the morning, we'll leave the hotel and take a boat to Guápiles. We'll stop at a local restaurant for lunch and then continue our route to Arenal, our next destination. Here, you'll have the rest of the day free to enjoy and explore the area at your leisure.
Day 5: Arenal Volcano National Park
After breakfast at the hotel, we'll head to Arenal Volcano National Park. There, we'll take a tour, admiring and discovering the secrets of the famous Arenal Volcano along the way. You'll take in beautiful green landscapes and have fun spotting the numerous animals that inhabit this natural environment, like sloths, howler monkeys, anteaters and countless other species!
In the afternoon, we'll head back to the hotel and leave you the rest of the day to spend as you please.
Day 6: Arenal - Monteverde
After breakfast, we'll leave Arenal behind for a trip to Monteverde, stopping along the way to board a boat on Lake Arenal for the remainder of the journey. Once in Monteverde, we'll enjoy beautiful views of coffee plantations and cloud forests, a totally different landscape from where we started!
You'll have the whole afternoon free to explore the area at your leisure.
Day 7: Monteverde
After a delicious breakfast, we'll go on a hike through the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Did you know that it's one of the most important private reserves in the world? During our hike, we'll see all sorts of mammals, birds, butterflies, reptiles and arachnids that live in this part of Costa Rica. An amazing day surrounded by nature!
We'll end the day by returning to the hotel.
Day 8: Monteverde - Pacific Coast - Tamarindo
On the eighth day, we'll relax by the sea. We'll have breakfast at the hotel and then take you to one of the most famous beach destinations in Costa Rica: the Pacific Coast, in the province of Guanacaste. There, you'll have free time to soak up the sun and take a refreshing swim. Towards the end of the day, we'll head to the hotel in Tamarindo to rest.
Day 9: Tamarindo
Time to relax! On day nine, you'll have the whole day free to swim and sunbathe on the Costa Rican beaches of Tamarindo. Enjoy!
Day 10: Tamarindo
Want to continue working on your tan? Day ten leaves you more time to enjoy the beautiful beaches of Costa Rica - you'll have the whole day to yourself!
Day 11: Tamarindo
Continue enjoying Tamarindo. You'll have the whole day free to explore the area at your leisure.
Day 12: Tamarindo - San José
Time to leave Tamarindo! After breakfast at the hotel, we'll travel to San José. Upon arrival, you have time to visit the capital of Costa Rica on your own.
Day 13: San José
After breakfast, we'll take you to Juan Santamaría International Airport for your flight back home.
