At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in San José. From there, we'll depart for one of the most beautiful natural areas of Costa Rica.
First, we'll stop to visit the town of Sarchí, considered to be the birthplace of Costa Rican handicrafts. After this short stop, we'll drive through pineapple and mango plantations to the entrance of the Arenal Volcano National Park, located just outside La Fortuna.
Here, we'll enjoy lunch in a traditional restaurant. The menu includes: beef, chicken or fish, vegetables, salad, rice and beans, pasta and vegetable stew, plus dessert and local fruit juice.
While having lunch, we'll enjoy incredible views of the volcano, which recorded its last period of activity on July 29, 1968. Since then, it has been producing gases and steam, making it the most active volcano in Costa Rica.
After learning about one of the most famous volcanoes in the world, we'll enjoy a relaxing bath in the Baldi hot springs. Did you know that these pools were created by the Arenal? In addition, they're surrounded by tropical gardens that'll make you feel like you're relaxing in paradise. At the end of the day, we'll refuel with a buffet dinner at Baldi.
After dinner, you'll return to your hotel in San José, where you'll arrive 15 hours after pickup.
