Cabo de Gata Evening Hike
We'll meet at the indicated time at the Mirador de Sollarete in San José to begin our tour. The tour will lead us quietly along the coast, enjoying the incredible landscapes that the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park has to offer at night.
During the trekking route, we'll be marvelling at the environment and getting to know the particularities of this rich ecosystem. We'll learn about the history and geology of Cabo de Gata, from its volcanic origin to legends of pirates. While we walk around the area, the guide will help us to distinguish its typical flora and fauna.
The route will take us to the Playa de los Genoveses, the setting for numerous films and television series. Our expert astronomy guide will show us how to locate the polar star to learn how to orient ourselves. We'll look up at the stars visible in the night sky, observing the constellations while discovering the mythology that gives them their names.
After the observation, we'll return through the interior of the Natural Park to our meeting point, at the Mirador de Sollarete de San José, where we'll put an end to this 3-hour tour.
