We will pick you up at 8 a.m from your hotel in San Ignacio and head across the border into Guatemala. We will arrive at the lagoons of Yaxhá and Sacnab, where we will encounter the wonderful ancient city of Yaxha.
We will visit the most important parts of this pre-Columbian city, such as the Astronomical Complex and the Pilgrims' Avenue. We will also learn about the deep-rooted traditions of the Mayan people as we admire the Twin Pyramid Complex.
Then for four hours, we will relive the way of life of the Yaxha Mayans. Along the way, we will also see the remains of the magnificent Temple of the Red Hands, the most visited part on the site. Later, as we will stop at a local restaurant to rebuild our strength.
After enjoying a delicious lunch consisting of a meat or vegetarian dish, we will return to San Ignacio. Once we arrive, we will accompany you to your accommodation where the excursion finishes at 4 pm.
Sunset trip
When you make the reservation, you can choose if you want to make the excursion to Yaxhá at sunset. The itinerary will be the same but, in this case, we will pick you up at your hotel in San Ignacio at 11 am and take you back there at 7:30 pm.

During the trip, we will cross the border between Belize and Guatemala. Therefore, you are required to carry your passport.
