On this tour we'll dive into the most famous national park in the United States, to discover all its secrets, including its giant sequoia groves, the world's tallest trees.

Yosemite National Park Day Trip

Having picked you up from your selected meeting point, we'll leave the city behind and head east to begin this day trip to Yosemite National Park.

During the approximately 4-hour drive, we'll cross the Sierra Nevada Mountains and pass through old western towns and gold rush towns. We'll tell you about John Muir's pivotal role in establishing America's first protected wilderness area.

Once in Yosemite, we'll make a photo stop at the Tunnel View overlook. From here, you'll be able to see incredible sights such as the granite formation Half Dome, the Cathedral Peak mountain range, and Bridalveil Falls, a waterfall revered by the Ahwahneechee.

Afterwards, next to the Yosemite Valley Lodge, you'll have free time for lunch and to explore the park at your own pace. We recommend walking to Yosemite Falls, strolling through Cook's Meadow or relaxing by the Merced River.

After regrouping, we'll drive past El Capitan Meadow, the world's largest granite monolith, famous for its challenging climb. We'll then stop at the Valley View overlook, from where we'll have a wonderful view of the Merced River and the towering spires of Cathedral Rocks.

Our last stop in the Yosemite National Parkwill be the Giant Sequoia Grove (Tuolumne Grove), where we'll see the largest trees on the planet. This magical place is home to the Grizzly Giant Sequoia, one of the largest sequoias in the world, with a base almost 30 meters (98 feet) in circumference.

Itinerary Changes

Due to safety reasons, in the winter months between November and March, and at any other time that weather conditions prevent it, we'll substitute the hike through Tuolumne Grove with more time in Yosemite Valley.

La excursión merece mucho la pena. Gino, el conductor, es myy gracioso y te lo pasas genial con el (si sabes inglés). Una cosa que no entendí es que te dicen que te lleves auriculares para escuchar unos audios, pero en ningún momento te dicen "Ahora escuchar el audio x". Si tienes dificultades con el inglés, te pierdes mucha información que da Gino (en nuestro caso), pero no te impide disfrutar de las pedazo de vistas que se tienen por allí.

Es un muy buen tour para conocer el parque nacional de Yosemite. Está lejos de San Francisco, 3 horas de ida y 3 de regreso. Puedes conocer las cascadas y los monolitos del parque. También las secuoyas gigantes, aunque ten mucho cuidado con el regreso porque la pendiente es muy pronunciada y tienes que tener muy buena condición. El guía muy agradable. This is a very good tour to see Yosemite National Park. It is far from San Francisco, 3 hours there and 3 hours back. You can see the waterfalls and the monoliths in the park. Also the giant sequoias, although be very careful on the way back because the slope is very steep and you have to be in very good condition. The guide is very nice. The entire tour is in English and the audio guide in Spanish never worked. Opinion translated. Show original.
