On this tour to Alcatraz, Muir Woods and Sausalito, we'll discover two of California's main attractions. Don't miss this if you're in San Francisco!
Description
At the agreed time, we'll meet near the Fisherman's Warf and head for Muir Woods, one of the most amazing places in Northern California. Located just half an hour from San Francisco, this national park is famous for its giant sequoias.
You'll have 70 minutes of free time in Muir Woods to enjoy the green landscapes and discover all of the details of the sequoias. For example, did you know they can grow up to 150 meters tall (492 feet)?
After visiting Muir Woods, we'll make our way to Sausalito, a charming city built on top of a hill on the shore of the bay. You'll have 20 minutes of free time here to take some amazing photos.
Afterwards, we'll start our way back to San Francisco. Along the way, we'll have an amazing panoramic view of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. To make sure you don't miss any details, we'll make a brief 15-minute stop to take pictures of the quintessential symbol of San Francisco.
The next stop of the day will be at the port of San Francisco, where you'll take a boat (on your own) to Alcatraz, the most famous prison in the world. Did you know that it is known as The Rock?
When you get off the ferry, you'll get an audio guide so you can visit Alcatraz at your own pace (without a guide). During the tour, you'll learn about the history of the prison while listening to stories of jailers and prisoners, thanks to the audio guide.
Finally, you'll take the boat back to the pier at Fisherman's Wharf, where we'll finish the tour after 7 hours of activity.
