Edzná Tour + Haciendas Visit
After picking you up at 8 am at your hotel in San Francisco de Campeche, we'll drive to Edzná: an outstanding Mayan site located in the Yucatán peninsula.
Once we arrive at this archaeological site, we'll embark on a guided tour of Edzná. Since its foundation in 600 BC, this ancient Mayan city has remained intact for almost 1800 years. We'll review the evolution of the city while we contemplate its main remains. Among them, the imposing stepped temple of the Five Storeys stands out.
We'll continue our tour of Edzná visiting the temple of the Casa Grande or Nohoch Ná. We'll also discover where the 'Ball Game', one of the most popular pre-Columbian sports of its time, was played. Do you know what its rules were? It won't take long to find out!
At the end of our visit to Edzná, we'll continue our tour of the Yucatán by visiting the haciendas of Uayamón, Hobomó and Seyba. In these traditional Mexican farms we'll discover what rural life is like in this part of the country. We'll get to know their customs, their culture and the local Yucatecan folklore.
Afterwards, we'll go to the Yax-Ha restaurant. There you'll replenish your strength with a delicious lunch that includes a selection of starters and a main course, with a choice of chicken, pork, beef or fish.
After lunch you'll finally return to your hotel in Campeche, where you'll arrive at 3 pm.
