At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and head to San Cristóbal Island's highlands.
Our first stop will be at El Junco Lagoon, which is one of the most beautiful natural areas found inland. This natural freshwater reservoir stretches across the crater of an extinct crater. We'll take a stroll around this unique area and admire breathtaking views of San Cristóbal's most elevated point. As we walk, we'll keep our eyes peeled for birds endemic to this area, such as frigate birds.
The next stop on our highlands tour will be a Galápagos giant tortoise hatchery. Here, we'll discover the programmes that are in place to aid with the conservation and breeding of these animals, which are the longest-living reptiles in the world.
After learning all about this species, we'll head to a restaurant on the beach at Puerto Chino at midday. Here, you'll have a traditional lunch that'll include a main course, soup and a dessert. After lunch, we'll head to Lobería Beach to vsiit its turtle and sea lion colony.
When we get to Lobería Beach, you'll have the chance to go snorkelling to spot the small fish that swim along the shore. Once our snorkelling activity has come to an end, we'll set off for your hotel on San Cristóbal Island. We'll drop you off between 2 and 3 pm.
