Become a certified diver in this PADI Open Water Diver course in San Cristobal Island. By the end of the course you'll be able to dive to a depth of 18 metres (59 feet)!
4-day PADI Open Water Course
The PADI Open Water Diver course on San Cristobal Island takes place over 4 consecutive days:
Day 1
We'll meet at the dive centre in Calle Igancio Hernandez and spend the first day of the course in an introductory theory class in which you'll learn the safety rules to be followed underwater.
Day 2
On the second day we'll familiarise ourselves with the diving equipment. We'll teach you how to put on your wetsuit, flippers, goggles, snorkel, oxygen tank and the rest of the equipment necessary for the dive.
Then you'll have your first practical diving lesson! We'll put what we learnt in the theory lesson into practice in the pool. And we'll also continue to learn about diving techniques in theory lessons to complete the day.
Day 3
We'll meet at the dive centre at the agreed time and do two dives in confined water. Thanks to this practice, you'll have all the necessary knowledge to be able to dive by at the bottom of the sea.
To conclude the training, we'll have a final theory lesson.
Day 4
We'll prepare all the equipment and head to the coast of San Cristóbal. We'll sail to the area where we'll make two open water dives, descending to 18 metres (59 feet)!
Finally, you'll have to take an exam to get your PADI Open Water Diver certificate, so you'll be able to discover the underwater treasures of the rest of the world on your own!
Experts Course
In case you're not a beginner diver, we recommend you book the expert course.
The course will take place over four days (just like the beginner's course) and includes five adventure dives. Two of them (Deep Adventure Dive and Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive) are compulsory, and the rest you can choose from seven different options.
At the end of the course, you'll receive a temporary PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification card that you can validate anywhere in the world. This course will allow you to extend your depth range to 30 metres (98 feet).
