Sumidero Canyon & Cristo de Chiapas Viewpoints + Zoomat Tour
Sumidero Canyon & Cristo de Chiapas Viewpoints + Zoomat Tour
At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in San Cristobal de las Casas and set off for the Sumidero Canyon for an unforgettable tour of its beautiful viewpoints.
We'll visit the six viewpoints of Sumidero Canyon National Park: La Ceiba, El Roblar, Tepehuaje, Los Chiapa, La Coyota and La Atalaya. All of them offer exceptional panoramic views of this natural gorge. Plus, during our tour of the Sumidero Canyon National Park, we're also likely to see friendly spider monkeys, hawks and pelicans.
Next we'll visit the Miguel Alvarez del Toro Zoo or Zoomat, a reserve home to dozens of species native to the state of Chiapas. See exotic animals such as the black jaguar, the quetzal, waders and tapirs, and learn curious facts about each of them!
Afterwards, you'll have an hour of free time for lunch before we continue our journey to Cristo de Chiapas, a 62-metre-tall concrete monument in the shape of a cross. From there we'll enjoy unparalleled views of Tuxtla Gutierrez.
Finally, we'll make our way back to your hotel in San Cristobal, where we are expected to arrive at 6 pm.
