See Gran Canaria in a fun new way and discover one of its most impressive natural monuments on this hiking tour of the Arco del Coronadero from San Bartolomé de Tirajana.

Arco del Coronadero Hiking

At 9:15 am, we'll meet at Avenida de la Unión Europea in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. From here, we'll set off on a 7 km trekking route that will take us through the deep ravines of southern Gran Canaria. The Arco del Coronadero awaits us!

We'll walk along the paths of the Amurga Massif, admiring the many different cacti that grow in this area and spotting the ruins of pre-Hispanic settlements. We'll learn all about the island's indigenous inhabitants as we pass by ancient caves and temples.

Crossing desert landscapes and walking alongside the steep stone walls of the Barranco Hondo, or Deep Ravine, we'll finally reach the Arco del Coronadero, a truly amazing natural rock formation. We'll discover how it originated millions of years ago and take the opportunity to snap lots of photos!

After making the most of our time at the natural arch, we'll set off on our way back. We'll finish the hiking route at 2 pm back at the starting point in San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
