Enter the Wild West, enjoy its countryside and explore the historic Fredericksburg on this Texas Hill Country tour. You'll love it!
Description
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in San Antonio, from where we'll head north, straight to the heart of Texas Hill Country.
We'll make our first stop in Johnson City, at the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park Visitor Centre. Did you know that this place tells the story of the 36th President of the United States and his wife Lady Bird?
We'll leave Johnson City behind and head to LBJ ranch in Stonewall, next to the Pedernales River. Here we'll explain how German immigrants from 1840 and 1850 influenced this area. Additionally, wild west film lovers are in luck, because we'll show you farming trucks that were used in the Great Trail Texas, and learn more about denim jeans from this period.
Afterwards, we'll go to Fredericksburg, one of the three wine-growing areas in Texas. Here, we'll give you 2 hours of free time so that you can eat and explore this small town. We recommend trying some local wine and going shopping in the local boutiques and galleries.
Before finishing this activity, we'll explore the towns of Luckenbach, Sisterdale and Sister Creek Winery, from where we'll start our return journey to San Antonio after an 8-hour tour.
