Discover the history and landmarks of the second-largest city in Uzbekistan with this fantastic tour of Samarkand.

Samarkand Panoramic Tour

We will pick you up from your hotel at 9 am and board the minibus to begin the tour of Samarkand. Get ready to explore the second-largest city in Uzbekistan.

The first stop on the tour will be the majestic Guri Emir Mausoleum, a jewel of Arab architecture. This geometrically arranged sculpture is one of the main attractions of Samarkand, as it houses the tomb of the Asian conqueror Tamerlane, also known as Timur.

As we reveal the history of this controversial character, we will head to the impressive Registan Square, to learn more about the city's past, which reaches back 2700 years. Hear, we will find three architecturally beautiful madrasas (schools of Islam): Ulugbhek, Sherdor, and Tilla Kori.

Our tour of this city, which was declared a World Heritage Site, continues by visiting the necropolis of Shahi Zindah. This mysterious archeological complex is remarkable for the blue domes of its mausoleums, its history-filled mosques, and its high stone porticos. Remember to bring your camera to capture these scenes forever!

Just a few meters from the necropolis is the great Bibi Khanum mosque, the largest in Central Asia! We will tour the exterior of this magnificent 14th-century temple that reflects Samarkand's importance as part of the Silk Road.

To finish, we will head to the Siyab bazaar, where you will have free time to do some shopping before returning to the hotel. The arrival is scheduled for 5 pm.
