Onda & Ermitaño Beaches Day Trip
Day Trip Options
During the booking process, you can choose between two options. Both include transport by speedboat, an English-speaking tour assistant, and lunch. Please read the details for each option below:
Day Trip from Samaná (5 Hours)
At the designated time, we'll meet at El Valle de Samana Beach. Once we're all gathered, we'll hop on a speedboat to go in search of the most beautiful spots in this northern part of the island.
Our first stop is Ermitaño Beach, where we'll admire a cove nearly inaccessible on foot and full of thick vegetation. It's home to a wide variety of species, such as iguanas, white-necked crows, or the palmchat. Do you know the origin of the name of this spot? Hint: it's due to a certain French pirate. Let's find out the full story on this tour!
Next, we'll continue our cruise to Onda Beach, a spot located in a small bay full of coconut palm trees and bathed by turquoise waters. If you feel like a swim, you may even come across some beautiful underwater fauna.
At noon, you'll get to enjoy a delicious lunch typical of the region. The menu includes fish, chicken, potatoes, fried plantain, coconut water, and mineral water.
Lastly, we'll return to our original meeting point after a total of 5 hours.
Day Trip from Las Terrenas (7 Hours)
In this case, we'll meet at the designated time at Las Ballenas Beach in Las Terrenas. From here, we'll sail on a speedboat that will take us to discover the prettiest corners of the northern coast.
Our first stop will be Astillero Beach, a beach of golden sand and tranquil water. It'll be perfect to calmly swim and start the day. Afterward, we'll continue toward Morón Beach, a lesser-known sandbank with an almost pristine environment, perfect to take lovely pictures and explore.
Shall we continue? Now we'll head to Onda Beach, where the beauty will invite you to take a dip in the Caribbean's turquoise waters. Our final destination will be Ermitaño Beach, a secret pristine gem bathed in crystalline waters. Here, you'll have the chance to explore the reefs located near the shore. Plus, you'll enjoy a delicious barbecue for lunch, prepared with the region's seasonal products. What else could you ask for?
After enjoying this day trip to the fullest, we'll return to the boat and start our return trip to the initial starting point after a total of 7 hours.
