Day Trip Details
We'll kick off this day trip after meeting at the designated time at the main port of Samaná, where we'll hop on a boat and set sail. We'll cross Samaná Bay toward the Esmeralda Coast in Miches.
After approximately 2 hours of sailing, we'll disembark on dry land and climb on an off-roading vehicle where we'll go uphill toward the summit of Redonda Mountain, at an altitude of over 984 feet (300 meters). Are you ready for this winding path? We'll cross landscapes with lush vegetation and extensive plantations that will connect us with the rural essence of the northern Dominican Republic.
Once we reach the top, overwhelming 360° views of the coast and the valley await. Here, you'll enjoy a well-deserved rest and take the best pictures on the swings and hammocks that are on the edges of the mountains. If you're adventurous, you'll have the chance to enjoy an adrenaline-pumping experience by gliding on a zipline as you fly over this beautiful site in the Caribbean.
Hungry? We'll head to a nearby town to indulge in a Dominican lunch at a family-owned restaurant. Here, you'll enjoy banana mangú or a bandera, a typical dish of the region featuring meat, white rice, beans, and stewed kidney beans. All of this will be served with tropical fruit juice. Delicious!
Our journey will continue with a quad route in search of Esmeralda Beach, a coastal gem that stands out for its turquoise waters and golden sand. It's an authentic Caribbean paradise! Here, you'll have 2.5 hours of free time to relax, swim, and sunbathe. You can explore the beach and practice water activities like snorkeling or paddle surfing.
Finally, we'll sail back to Samaná, where we'll conclude our day trip at the initial meeting point after a total of 10.5 hours.
