Looking for another corner of paradise in the Dominican Republic? On this tour of the 7 beaches of Samana, we'll depart from Las Galeras in search of the best coves in the area.
7 Beaches of Samana Tour
We'll meet at 9:30 am in Las Galeras and set off on a 3 km (2-mile) walk. The walk will be worth it, the 7 most spectacular beaches in Samana await!
We'll first head over to the Duarte cave. This Samana peninsula cave was used in the Taino Indian era to prepare medicines and food. After visiting the cave, we'll go to a viewpoint that offers extraordinary panoramic views of the coast.
From here, we'll travel to the first two coves on the tour: the Caletón and Perdida beaches. These paradise sandy beaches will captivate you from the very first moment. Then, we'll walk to the third stop of the route: Colorada 1 beach. And why does the name have a number in it? We'll tell you during our delicious buffet lunch on the sand.
What's on the menu? We'll have white rice with beans, black bean moro, charcoal-grilled chicken, grilled fish, beef, green salad, elbow salad, fried ripe plantain, fruit salad, and coconut bread. As a refreshing treat, we'll also have some chinola (passion fruit) juice. After lunch, we'll walk to the fourth and fifth stops on the route: Colorada 2 and Ñiñingo beach.
To put the finishing touch to the tour, we'll visit the last two coves: the beaches called Amor and Breman. From here we'll go to an eighth sandy area located outside the route, Rincón beach, where we'll take a boat back to Las Galeras.
We'll conclude the tour at the Las Galeras pier, where we'll dock at 4 pm.
