Salzburg Salt Mines Tour
We'll meet at number 1 Hubert-Sattler-Gasse at the time you booked and head for the Salzburg salt mines, an underground labyrinth that hides history, mystery, and adventure.
On our way there, we'll pass by the King's Lake and the Eagle's Nest, famous for their connection to the Third Reich and World War II.
Once we reach the mines, we'll get dressed up in a protective miner's suit and hop on the miners' train that will take us into the heart of the mountain.
The Salzburg mines began operating in 1527. We'll explore them alongside our expert guide who'll tell us all about how the salt was mined, transported and used as well as the day-to-day life of the miners. During the tour, you'll even get the chance to slide down the miners' slide!
To finish off the tour, we'll board a wooden raft for a ride across the salt lake. Then we'll board the miners' train again and head back to the outside world.
Before returning to Salzburg, we will stop in the scenic town of Berchtesgaden.
