Salzburg Private Day Trip

If you're planning on staying in Salzburg for several days and you want to explore the city's surroundings with an exclusive guide, you can book any of our private tours. These tours last between 5 and 11 hours and include hotel pick up, transport in a private vehicle and an English-speaking guide.

Below you can see the details of each tour:

Hallstatt Tour (5 hours)

After picking you up in Salzburg, we'll take a route through the mountainous region of Salzkammergut. In just 1 hour and 15 minutes, we'll reach the town of Hallstatt, on the shores of Lake Hallstätter See. The guide will lead us around the old town to discover the Markplatz with its famous Lutheran church. We'll also see the Pfarrkirche, which houses over 1200 skulls inside.

Finally, we'll go up to one of the city's viewpoints so that you can take in the wonderful views. Did you know that the cultural landscape of Hallstatt-Dachstein has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site?

Mauthausen Concentration Camp Tour (8 hours)

We'll take a route from Salzburg to the Mauthausen concentration camp. Once there, we'll give you an audio guide in English so that you can learn about the history of one of the most impactful times in recent history, the Holocaust.

The tour will take us around the barracks while listening to how far the human race can go. We'll contemplate the memorials of different countries and see the Death Stairs, the Parachute Wall and the crematory ovens. After the visit, there will be a stop to have lunch on your own.

Berchtesgaden and King's Lake Tour (8 - 11 hours)

This option will take us to the Bavarian Alps to see the Eagle's Nest, a Third Reich building used for meetings and events. Here you'll admire the impressive views from a restaurant.

Our next stop will be the Obsersalzberg documentation centre, where we'll learn about the peculiarities of Nazi ideology and its propaganda. We'll continue to the King's Lake (Königssee(, which belongs to the Danube basin. If you wish, we can take a boat ride while touring the St. Bartholomä peninsula and its incredible turquoise waters.

After the tour, you'll have free time for lunch. Then we'll visit the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine, which started operating in 1517. We'll dress up in special clothing and go on a 1 hour 30 minute tour accompanied by a German miner. You'll receive an English audio guide.

Advantages of a private tour
