Hellbrunn Palace Boat Trip + Trick Fountains
At the indicated time, we'll meet at 1a on Franz-Josef-Kai Street in Salzburg, where we'll board a boat to embark on a very special trip to Hellbrunn Palace.
We'll move south on the Salzach River and admire the amazing views of the old town from the boat. When we disembark, a historical English double-decker bus will be waiting for us to take us to Hellbrunn Palace, a baroque 'villa' from the 19th century.
As soon as we step into the palace gardens, we'll start enjoying its famous trick fountains: a set of fountains, sculptures, caves, mechanical deer, and unique hydraulic machines that will get you wet without warning. The prince-archbishop Markus Sittikus was a jokester and used to surprise his guests with this amusing circuit whenever they visited the mansion.
Afterwards, you'll enter the palace and while listening to an audio guide, you'll explore the ballrooms with their imposing frescoes by Mascagni, the prince's chamber, or the music chamber.
Finally, after a ride of approximately 2.5 hours, we'll board a bus that will take us back to the meeting point in Salzburg.
