At the time of your choosing, we will pick you up from your hotel or in the center of Salta. Then we head to the Plaza 9 de Julio square (9 July square) where we will see the beautiful neo-baroque façade of Salta's Cathedral and the elegant Cabildo building, one of the best-preserved town halls in Argentina.
Our private tour continues as we admire the colorful exterior architecture of the San Francisco convent church. Its great bell tower, at almost 180 ft high, is the highest in the country. Then we ascend the mighty San Bernardo Hill, from where we will enjoy excellent panoramic views of Salta and beyond.
Back at the foot of the hill, we will observe the famous Monument to Güemes. You will learn this history of this charismatic general, who had a prominent role in the Argentine War of Independence. After discovering some details about this character, we will go to the Municipal Natural Reserve of Quebrada de San Lorenzo. In this gorge on the outskirts of Salta, we will discover the great biodiversity of this ecosystem which includes beautiful landscapes dotted with crystal streams and lush green vegetation.
The last stop is at the popular Artisan Market of Salta, which has been selling wonderful hand-crafted traditional products since the 19th-century.
Finally, after approximately four hours, the tour concludes and we drop you back at your hotel or the city center, depending on your preference.
