Salta, Jujuy & Tucuman 7 Day Tour
Day 1: Salta
On the first day of your week-long adventure in northern Argentina, we'll pick you up from the airport or bus station in Salta and take you to your hotel. You'll then have the rest of the day free to explore the colonial city at your leisure.
Day 2: Salta
After having breakfast at the hotel, you'll have free time until 3:45 pm, when we'll embark on a guided tour of Salta. We'll learn all about the history of the town, which was founded in 1582, as we admire the 9 de Julio Square, the San Bernado Convent and the San Francisco Church, where General Martín Miguel de Güemes, a key figure in the country's independence, is buried.
Passing by the Catholic University, we'll then head to San Lorenzo, a traditional village near the Lerma Valley. On the way back, we'll visit Salta's Handicrafts Market, where we will get to see typical local gold and leather products. We'll end the day returning to the hotel.
Day 3: Salta – Jujuy
We'll pick you up from the hotel to take you to the airport or bus station in Salta for your journey to San Salvador de Jujuy. On your arrival, we'll transfer you to your next hotel and leave you to spend the rest of the day as you wish.
Day 4: Jujuy – Quebrada de Humahuaca – Jujuy
At 7 am, we'll pick you up and set off on an excursion to the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a region famous for its typical farmhouses, the local Omahuaca culture and its breathtaking natural landscapes. Did you know that it has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO?
Our tour will take us to discover Rio Grande, Tumbaya and Purmamarca, and we'll get to see the pre-Inca fortress of Pucará de Tilcara. We'll cross over the Tropic of Capricorn, before exploring Uquía, where we'll have the opportunity to admire the town's famous Ángeles arcabuceros, paintings of angels depicted with an "arquebus" firearm and dressed in clothing characteristic of Andean nobles. Finally, we'll enjoy a stroll through the cobblestone streets of Humahuaca, before bringing our fourth day to an end back in Jujuy.
Day 5: Jujuy – Tucuman
On day five, you'll be picked up from the hotel and taken to the airport or bus station in Jujuy to set off for Tucuman. When you arrive, we'll transfer you to the hotel and you'll have the rest of the day free to explore the city at your leisure.
Day 6: Tucuman
After breakfast, a guided tour of Tucuman awaits us. We'll walk through its streets to see the city's most emblematic historic buildings, like the Our Lady of the Incarnation Cathedral, the San Martín Theatre, the local government offices and the picturesque district of Yerba Buena. At the end of the tour, we'll return to the hotel for our final night.
Day 7: Tucuman
Having had the last breakfast of the trip, you'll have free time to explore more of Tucuman at your leisure. Then when it's time for your onwards journey, we'll pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the airport or bus station to say goodbye after seven days exploring northern Argentina.

This seven day tour includes six nights' accommodation with breakfast. When making your reservation, you'll have the choice between four different hotel categories:
Salta (2 nights)

Jujuy (2 nights)
- Hostel: Malala or similar.

- 4 Star Hotel: Howard Johnson or similar.
Tucuman (2 noches)
- Hostal: Tu Hostel or similar.
- 2 Star Hotel: Carlos V or similar.
- 3 Star Hotel: Garden Plaza or similar.
- 4 Star Hotel: Hilton or similar.
Note on prices
- The price indicated is per person sharing a double room, except in hostels, where you'll have a dorm bed in a 6 to 8 person room. If you'd like a triple or quadruple room, please contact us for a personalized quote and to book.
- The cost of accommodation is non-refundable once the reservation has been made. The remaining part of the tour price is refundable according to our terms and conditions, which can be read in our cancellation policy.
- This tour does not include flights or buses between the different cities. You'll have to arrange these yourself, although the local guide will be able to help you buy them at each destination.
