What to Expect
While the north of Argentina is renowned for its expansive landscapes and excellent wine, join us for a culinary adventure into the rich flavors of the region.
After being picked up from your hotel in Salta, we'll set off towards Mercado de San Miguel, very close to one of the city's main plazas.
Upon arriving at the market near the central Plaza 9 de Julio, we'll begin our route through different stalls within Mercado de San Miguel. We'll purchase the ingredients for our home-cooked meal at each one. This way, we'll discover authentic Salta cuisine!
Walking from stall to stall, we'll also spot different Argentine recipes that are popular throughout the region. As we tour the market, we'll learn which plates are the most popular among the locals while gathering our ingredients for our own meal later.
Armed with fresh ingredients, we'll head to our cooking class nearby. Our chef awaits, ready to share comprehensive insights into creating rich northern flavors of the region. Our main focus will be mastering a typical Salta dish, with some flexibility based on seasonal variations and ingredient availability.
The workshop will culminate in a satisfying lunch featuring the dish we've skillfully prepared—a guaranteed delight! Following the meal, we'll wrap up the experience and head back to your hotel in Salta about 5 hours later.
