On this tour, we'll travel to Congost de Mont-Rebei gorge, one of Catalonia's natural gems. Then we'll visit the charming villages of Montblanc and Arbeca and their archaeological sites.
Congost de Mont-Rebei Gorge Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Salou at 8 am and we'll head towards Congost de Mont-Rebei, a region of natural beauty that will leave you speechless.
Once we reach this natural border between the areas of Huesca and Lérida, we'll embark on a hiking route through this impressive gorge, which is the main attraction on our tour. As we walk through the Congost de Mont-Rebei area, we'll discover many interesting facts about the area. For example, did you know that there are no infrastructures, such as roads or electricity lines?
After one of the most spectacular routes on the Iberian Peninsula, we'll head for the village of Arbeca, located at the foot of a mountain. Here, we'll find the stunning remains of the castle of the Dukes of Cardona. In Arbeca we'll also explore the Iberian fortress Els Vilars, one of the town's hidden gems. You'll find out all about the inhabitants of the site's old way of living. Then we'll give you an hour of free time to enjoy a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. Next, we'll head to the Museo de Les Borges, where we'll also visit the olive oil theme park.
We'll round off the excursion with a visit to Montblanc, a medieval village in the province of Tarragona that boasts the largest walled complex in Catalonia. Here we'll travel back in time as we stroll through the streets of its historic quarter, closely linked to the legend of Saint George and the dragon.
