    The sites are impressive but the time allocated is less than 1 hour for Windsor, 1 hour and a half for the other two sites, so there is not enough time to explore. The tour I had booked was only for Stonehenge and Bath and at the last minute they changed it to include all 3 sites. I would have preferred the original tour. The guide Bruce was excellent as was the driver. Very professional. The agreed times were met and he knows many details about the 3 sites.

It is thought that Stonehenge was built in several stages over centuries and was originally used for ceremonial purposes. However, how exactly the huge stones, some weighing over 25 tonnes, were transported and arranged as they are remains a mystery.

The most common way for tourists to visit Stonehenge is with an excursion from London, which includes access to the site and an expert tour guide.
