Salento Viewpoints Tour
Salento Viewpoints Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the steps of the church located in the main park of Salento. From there, we'll drive in a 4x4 vehicle through the Cocora Valley. Are you ready to discover breathtaking viewpoints?
Once we arrive in the valley, we'll embark on a 2-hour hike to the viewpoint of the Condor. Along the route, we'll be able to appreciate the special vegetation that surrounds us. Do you know what the wax palm is? As well as being unique in its kind, it's the national tree of Colombia, and it only grows in the Andean rainforests!
We'll arrive at the viewpoint of El Condor, located at an altitude of 2600 metres (8530 feet). There, we'll stop for an hour to take photos, tell you all about this fascinating natural area and fully connect with nature. From this spot we'll be able to enjoy spectacular views of the canyon of the Cocora Valley and, if we're lucky, we might be able to see the condor of the Andes, the largest flying bird in the world! So keep your eyes peeled!
After enjoying the surroundings, we'll return to Cocora Valley, where you'll have an hour and a half for lunch on your own. We'll continue the tour by visiting the town's points of interest and discovering the area's most impressive viewpoints.
Finally, after an 8-hour tour, we'll return to Salento to finish the tour at the starting point.
