At 9 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Salento. There we'll get into a comfortable all-terrain vehicle to start our trip to the municipality of Quimbaya.
Once we arrive at our destination, we'll meet with the guide to begin the route along the La Vieja River. First, we'll explain how to sit on the typical bamboo rafts, similar to those used by the indigenous peoples of Colombia.
Ready to start an adventure down the river? We'll embark on a four-hour trip during which we'll enjoy the landscapes and fauna of the Quimbaya region.
Halfway through the route, we'll stop at a family farm to have a delicious lunch. Ever heard of sudado montañero? This delicious typical dish from Quindío is made of potatoes, yucca and plantains, with beef or chicken and salad.
With our strength restored, we'll continue with the tour while we tell you different stories about the region.
At the end of the bamboo raft ride, we'll return to Salento, arriving around 2 pm.
