Salento Mountain Bike Tour
Tour options
At the time of booking, you can choose the intensity of the bike tour, depending on the number of kilometers and the ascent you prefer. Both options start and end at the principal church of Salento.
Moderate tour (4 hours)
When our group is all together, we'll get on the bikes and start a 24-kilometer route (15 miles) through the mountains of Salento. As we ride into an area full of lush vegetation, we'll discover the ancient trails of the Pijao tribe. We'll tell you all about this indigenous tribe during the tour!
During the route, we'll climb a 600-meter slope (0.4 miles) as we take on the obstacles of the terrain. Although the difficulty of this bike route is moderate, there will be no lack of excitement and fun moments in the mountains.
Extreme tour (6 hours)
After gathering our group, we'll begin this bike tour through the mountains that surround Salento. During the 54-kilometer bike route (33.5 miles), we'll cross the mountains that divide the departments of Quindio and Tolima, a true natural paradise!
In total, we'll ride up an accumulated ascent of 1,650 meters (1 mile). The effort will be well worth it! From the top, we'll take in magnificent views of the wax palm forests that dot this area of Colombia.
