Amazingly more than half of Bolivia's territory is Amazon rainforest. Discover it for yourself with this fantastic 3-day circuit through the Pampas del Yacuma from Rurrenabaque.

Description

Day 1

In the morning, we will meet up in Rurrenabaque before leaving for the picturesque town of Santa Rosa de Yacuma. During the journey, by 4x4 vehicle, we will see a lot of wonderful local wild animals, such as anteaters, sloths, or colorful toucans.

At noon, we will board a boat that will take us across the Yacuma River to our lodging, where we´ll be welcomed while enjoying the finest Bolivian gastronomy.

In the afternoon, we will explore the surroundings and meet some of the local wildlife, such as the friendly capuchin monkeys that inhabit the place. Later, we will stop at a panoramic viewpoint to enjoy an unforgettable sunset over the Pampas del Yacuma.

After dinner, we will take a night boat ride on the Yacuma to see all the wonderful nocturnal wildlife that inhabits the region, such as the alligators.

Day 2

We will rise early for breakfast before setting sail on the waters of the Yacuma River. On the boat, we will see some of the many amazing animals that inhabit the Pampas: capybaras, alligators, lizards, turtles, monkeys, exotic birds, and even river dolphins.

Afterward, we will return to the eco-lodge to eat and regain our strength. After a short rest, weather permitting, we then return to the Yacuma River to swim with dolphins and observe them up close.

In the evening, we'll have a quiet dinner and sleep in the lodge.

Day 3

We get up before dawn break, so we can enjoy the spectacular sunrise over Pampas del Yacuma - a  sight you will never forget!

Afterward, we have breakfast and explore the area, listening to the awakening of the jungle, and watching fearsome anacondas.

After the hike, we will return to the Ecolodge to eat and pack our bags before heading to Rurrenabaque, where we arrive in mid-afternoon.

Accommodation

The tour includes 2 nights of full-board accommodation in the Dolphins Ecolodge.
