Tour of Grožnjan & Oprtalj
At 8:30 am, we'll depart from Rovinj in the direction of the Istrian hinterland. This Croatian peninsula, the largest in the Mediterranean, is filled with charming medieval villages!
First, we'll begin by driving through green hills, extensive olive groves, and vineyards. The first stop will be in the town of Grožnjan. Did you know that it's known as "the little town of artists"? This charming town is home to 28 workshops, an art gallery, a summer film school, a jazz festival, and much more!
We'll take a walk through the historic center of Grožnjan and then move on to the valley of the Mirna River. In this beautiful area of the Istrian peninsula is the village of Oprtalj, where we'll discover the Venetian architecture still preserved in some of its monuments.
After visiting Oprtalj, we'll go to a typical Croatian tavern where we'll enjoy a tasting of Istrian products, which will vary according to the season. If you wish, you can take advantage of the stop at this establishment for lunch.
