Northern Lights Ice Floating Experience
Northern Lights Ice Floating Experience
Having been picked up from your hotel in Rovaniemi, you'll be taken deep into the winter wonderland scenery of Lapland, on the outskirts of the Finnish city. After around a 10 mile (15 km) journey, you'll arrive in an area marked by its many frozen lakes, and surrounded by the region's iconic snow-capped forests.
One of these icy lakes will be the location of your activity for this evening. Don't worry, the first thing you'll do is put on a special insulated suit to protect you from the freezing temperatures of the lake. Do you dare go for a dip? Your suit is designed to keep out the cold, so you can slip into the water and relax, enjoying the magnificent views of this winter paradise.
As you experience this incredible unique activity, floating in Arctic waters, enjoy one of nature's most magical phenomena. The Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, fill the night sky with different coloured illuminations. You'll be left in awe of the spectacular view and its reflection on the ice-filled lake.
During the activity, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy some warm blueberry juice and gingerbread, typical snacks in the cold north of Finland.
Having finished your excursion, you'll be dropped back off at your hotel in Rovaniemi.
Important
Please bear in mind that as it's a natural phenomenon, we cannot guarantee that the Aurora Borealis will be visible on this tour.
