Icebreaker Cruise
At the appointed time we'll meet at the Rovaniemi Tourist Information Point. Once we're all together, we'll leave Rovaniemi behind and set off on a bus journey to the Swedish town of Båtskärsnäs, where the icebreaker ship will be waiting for us.
We'll climb on board and listen to our English audio guide as we explore the different rooms such as the engine room and the captain's bridge. We'll also get to watch a short informative video about icebreakers all over the world.
As we sail, you'll gaze out over the beautiful waters of the Bothnian Sea and watch as the ship breaks through the icy layers of ice in its path. You can enjoy this spectacle on deck or sheltered indoors.
After having a 2-course lunch on board, we'll get to try out a unique activity. We'll take a dip in the icy water in a special flotation suit.
Finally, we'll get back on the boat and head back to the departure dock, where we'll end the tour after three hours of sailing.
