At the selected time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and drive to a horse farm located 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) from Rovaniemi. We'll ride through the Lappish forests until we reach our destination. Who's looking forward to a horseback ride in the Arctic Circle? We sure are!
Once we get there, we'll meet the horses and visit the farm to learn about the different care and pampering these gorgeous animals receive on a daily basis. What's more, we'll find out how to groom them and learn many facts about the Irish Cob breed. Did you know that they are one of the oldest Irish horse breeds? We'll tell you about their great strength and the role they've played for centuries in Lapland.
If you've never ridden a horse before, don't worry. We'll give you some instructions and many helpful pointers - you'll see how easy it is! Then, we'll start an hour-long horseback ride that'll take us to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Arctic Circle. The magical sight of the snowy trees in the cold months is really breathtaking.
After three hours of riding and admiring amazing scenery, we'll end the tour and drop you back at your hotel.
Pickup
The activity generally starts between 9 am and 1:30 pm. The pickup is from hotels located within a radius of 15 kilometers (9.4 miles) from the center of Rovaniemi. After you have made your reservation, we'll contact you to arrange the exact time. In case your accommodation is in the center of Rovaniemi, you'll need to go directly to the office located at Maakuntakatu 29.
Please note
For safety reasons, people weighing more than 90 kilos (198 pounds) are not allowed to take part in the tour.
