Take in the views of Holland's architectural gems, The De Rotterdam building, as you walk through Rotterdam and enjoy a watertaxi ride on this guided tour!
Description
Meet us at Rotterdam Central Station as we set off on a walking tour through the urban center of Rotterdam!
Our first stop will be Lijnbaan, Rotterdam's main city street. Then we'll continue on to Timmerhuis: a modern and very famous complex of buildings designed by the prestigious OMA architecture firm.
As we continue walking through the city, we'll pass by the San Lorenzo Church, as we make our way to the Markthal: a modern, avant-garde architectural structure and covered market. Inside, we can see the roof with a vibrant artwork called the "Horn of Plenty" that adds color and visual interest.
Next to the Markthal, we'll also find the renowned Rotterdam Cube Houses (Kubuswoning). After exploring these unique homes, we can head to a nearby pier where we can catch a fast water taxi, crossing the Meuse River in just two minutes!
On this quick river crossing, you'll pass under the iconic Erasmusbrug Bridge and savor breathtaking views of notable landmarks such as the De Rotterdam building, the New York Hotel, and the Fenix Food Factory headquarters. We'll end the tour at this point at about 1 pm.
