Set off on a walking guided tour of Rome and discover some of its iconic landmarks, such as the Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna, and Piazza Navona.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Piazza Barberini to begin a walking tour that'll take us through some of the most important squares of Rome's historic center.
After admiring the beautiful Bernini fountains in Piazza Barberini, we'll make a pit stop at Quirinale Hill and then head to the Fontana di Trevi, one of the most famous monuments of the Italian capital. We'll then tell you about the origins of this colossal fountain, built by Nicola Salvi and Giuseppe Pannini, and we'll also learn about the symbolism behind it.
We'll continue our tour on foot admiring buildings of great historical value, such as the 17th-century Palazzo Odescalchi, the church of Santa Maria di Loreto, or the monument to Victor Emmanuel II.
Our tour will take us to the Piazza del Campidoglio, located on top of a hill and designed by Michelangelo himself. We'll tell you about the various renovations this square has undergone and then we'll move on to admire the exterior of Marcelo Theater where after 2.5 hours of exciting cultural immersion, we'll bring the activity to an end at Piazza Mattei, where the Fountain of the Turtles awaits us.
