What is Cinecittà World?
Ornaments, lights, and garlands adorn Christmas Street, one of the main stages of the Cinecittà World park. Did you know that the park is divided into 7 cinema-themed areas? Visitors can even stop by Santa Claus' house to send their Christmas letters!
Christmas is one of the most magical times at Cinecittà World. With 40 attractions and a variety of Christmas shows, there’s something for everyone to enjoy:
- Christmas Show: This daily show kicks off at 11 am, providing the perfect way to start your day with holiday cheer.
- The Chinese Lantern Festival: A section of the park will be transformed into a world of light and color inspired by the heart of China. Along a 1-km (0.76 mi) path, visitors will be amazed by more than 220 illuminated installations, some reaching up to 8 meters (26 feet) high. It's a must-see spectacle perfect for photos.
- Christmas On Ice: Experience the wonder of Christmas on ice. This breathtaking show features dozens of artists performing acrobatics and synchronized dances, all set to a magical Christmas soundtrack. The show takes place every day from December 25 to January 6 at 3 pm and 6 pm in the new Palastudio of Cinecittà World.
- Gocce di Cinema: Iconic scenes from beloved Christmas movies are brought to life on a 4-meter-high (13 feet) water wall as part of the Dancing Fountains display. This giant water screen creates a stunning visual experience.
- Santa Claus Rollercoaster: Feel the thrill of flight with Santa Claus on this ground-breaking virtual roller coaster experience. Thanks to advanced virtual technology, visitors will feel the rush of adrenaline as they soar alongside Santa himself.
- Starting December 8, the iconic Herod's Temple will host the Cinecittà World Nativity Scene.
- Every day, Santa Claus, his Elves, and a cast of beloved Christmas characters fill the streets with music, movement, and celebration as part of the daily Christmas Parade.
On Christmas Day, December 25, visitors can enjoy a special Christmas lunch and join in the celebration of the official opening of the Jubilee. A Holy Mass will also be held to mark the occasion.
The 2024 season will end on January 6, 2025, with the arrival of the Befana, a typical figure of Italian folklore who distributes gifts to the little ones. Don’t miss the chance to experience the magic of Christmas at Cinecittà World.
