Rockland Food Tour
Description
We hope you're hungry! At the scheduled time, we'll meet in front of the Clan MacLaren on Main Street to begin this finger-licking food tour of Rockland, famous for tons of local delicacies.
On this walking tour, we'll explore the historic center of the city and discover the secrets of Rockland's food scene as we tour the most iconic spots. Why is its cuisine so highly praised in this region? What are the tastiest products? From farm to coastline, and from award-winning chefs to pastry chefs and brewers, the diverse gastronomy of Rockland will surprise you at every turn.
During the tour, we'll make stops to try some of Rockland's delicacies such as lobster rolls, meat with onion rings, and a soup typical to the region. Did you know that the creation of the first lobster roll can be owed to a Rockland hotelier? Or that an old resident of the city invented the hole in a donut? You'll learn so much!
In addition, we'll also enjoy an artisan beer from Maine while we eat. And be sure to leave room for dessert! We'll try a special award-winning chocolate made in Rockland to leave a sweet taste in our mouths as we conclude the tour.
Finally, after 3 hours together, we'll bring this food tour of Rockland to an end and say our goodbyes.
